MYND offer own services and experience for the Functional Safety management, in order to design Safety Instrumented Systems according IEC61508 and IEC61511. These standards are normally used worldwide by the biggest engineering company to redusce risk associated an hazardous event and so to reduce people injury and environment accidents.

Standards give the lifecycle to be applied, starting from design, Hazop, SIL analisys, Safety Reliability calculations and necessary adjustment in order to achive the reliability needed and so to reduce the risks as above. These activities require strong experience in the SIS engineering, knowledge of the Automation and Instrumentation devices, and very good knowledge in the process plant technologies

  • HAZOP Study (Management, Procedure preparation, Chairman, final report);
  • SIL Assessment (Management, Identificazion of SIFs, procedure Preparation, Chairman, final report);
  • SIL Verification (SIL verification by Capability, Architectural constraint, reliability block diagram. Final report with indication of possible intervention in order to meet the SIL level required);
  • Safety Requirement Specification (SRS);
  • Technical supervision of safety instrumented systems development;
  • Technical supervision of systems FAT as competent person in order to validate the SIL level
  • SIL validation (Field services in order to validate, through inspection and testing, that the installed and commissioned safety instrumented system and its associated safety instrumented functions achieve the requirements as stated in the safety requirement specification)
